Family Trust Federal Credit Union Seeks Scholarship Applicants

Demonstrating its commitment to supporting future leaders in the community, Family Trust Federal Credit Union (Family Trust) has announced two $5,000 scholarship opportunities for local undergraduate and graduate students. The deadline for both scholarship applications is Saturday, June 15, 2024.

“These scholarships are our way of paying it forward to young and aspiring professionals, while rewarding the very values that make our community a special place to live,” said Ryan Harvey, president and CEO, Family Trust. “We encourage all eligible students to apply.”

The credit union’s newest scholarship, the Women in Business Scholarship, is an homage to Penny Pratt, former president and CEO of Family Trust. Created to support women in business pursuing higher education, this grant will be awarded to a deserving female student enrolled in a business-related degree program. To apply, applicants must complete this form, which includes an essay on the impact of women in business today.

Family Trust is also accepting applications for the Eddie Reeves Community Commitment Scholarship, which honors former Board of Directors chairman and lifelong volunteer, Eddie Reeves. This fund will be awarded to a worthy student who exhibits Reeves’ leadership and volunteer spirit. To apply, interested parties must complete this form and share how giving back to the community has impacted them.
