Aerodome Raises $21.5M Series A

Aerodome, a Los Angeles CA-based company which specializes in Drone-As-First-Responder technology, raised $21.5M in Series A funding.

The round, which brought the total amount to $28M, was led by CRV with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Karman Ventures, Immad Akhund (CEO, Mercury), and Ford Street Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Co-founded by Rahul Sidhu and Kenaniah Cerny, Aerodome is a Drone-As-First-Responder (DFR) technology company using an integrated, automated, and remote software operating system to equip agencies with advanced, 24/7 DFR capabilities. By providing a fully automated and remote air support operating system, the company equips agencies with a 24/7 solution that reduces the need for patrol officers to respond to calls while offering faster response times.

In one year since its founding, Aerodome has secured contracts with police departments, nearly doubling its earnings projections for Q1 of 2024. The company has also secured a new exclusive partnership with Hextronics, a world leader in enabling drone autonomy. Hextronics is supplying a drone dock that is purpose-built for DFR with a rapid, automated battery-changing system, HVAC system, and the ability to operate remotely in any condition.
