Chloris Geospatial Receives Investment from Cisco Foundation and NextSTEP

Chloris Geospatial, a Boston, MA-basedtechnology company measuring forest carbon from space, received an investment from Cisco Foundation and NextSTEP.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. The two new additions joined existing investors AXA IM Alts, Orbia Ventures, At One Ventures, and Counteract.

The company intends to use the funds for continued commercial growth.

Led by CEO Marco Albani, Chloris Geospatial is a provider of forest carbon insights, leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to create innovative solutions that drive business value. Chloris’ technology empowers governments, companies, civil society organizations, indigenous peoples, and local communities to track all biomass dynamics – including those arising from deforestation, degradation, and growth of trees – from field to continental scale and understand the impact of their forest carbon projects and supply chains.

Adam Gibbon, Natural Capital Lead at AXA IM Alts, joined the company’s board of directors.
