Greysteel, a distinguished commercial real estate and capital markets services firm, is excited to announce the addition of Kris McKay as the Director of the NYC Debt & Equity Capital Markets Team. Mr. McKay will operate from the New York City office, enhancing the firm’s presence in the NYC Metro, Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic regions.
With over two decades of extensive experience in the commercial real estate capital markets, Mr. McKay brings profound knowledge and a successful track record to Greysteel. Prior to joining the firm, he transacted over $1.3 billion in closed engagements, covering multifamily investment sales, and national debt, equity, and C-PACE originations. His career also includes a significant tenure in equity sales and commercial retail development.
In his new role, Mr. McKay will focus on non-recourse financing and equity placement across all asset types, providing specialized solutions that align with client objectives through his extensive network of correspondent relationships with banks, debt funds, private equity, life insurance companies, CMBS, C-PACE, and agency lenders. Mr. McKay holds an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from the Kogod School of Business at American University and a BA in Political Science from Mount St. Mary’s University. He is actively involved in several industry organizations, including ULI and NAIOP, and holds brokerage licenses in New Jersey and New York.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. McKay is passionate about rugby, skiing, surfing, saltwater fishing, and sailing.
