David Nevins Interviews Jon Kohler, Chair, Harmony Woods Music & Beer Fest

Jon Kohler is the Chair of the Harmony Woods Music & Beer Fest, and a board member with the Maryland Center for the Arts. He’s also the owner and chef at Pairings Bistro in Bel Air MD.

Jon graduated from Johnson and Wales University with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management. In addition to working as a chef at several Maryland hotels and restaurants throughout his career, Jon spent time as a manager with a fine wine distributor, giving him the opportunity to travel extensively both domestically and overseas. Jon’s culinary expertise has evolved to include a strong Belgian influence which he developed during frequent visits to his wife, Sandy’s family in Brussels. On top of managing his popular restaurant, wine shop, and catering business, Jon is a long-time supporter of Harford County charities.

David has chaired the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission and the Maryland Higher Education Loan Corporation, served as President of both the Jewish National Fund and the Towson Business Association and was a member of the PNC Bank board.
