Road to Responsibility to Host 36th Annual Gala on September 26

Save the date for Thursday, September 26, when Road to Responsibility (RTR), one of the region’s largest and most successful nonprofit organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will host its 36th Annual Making Lives Better Gala from 6 to 9 p.m. at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy.

This year’s annual mission-driven event will feature a cocktail reception, mobile bidding auction, and formal dinner– all followed by a mission story that highlights and celebrates the progress and change RTR has made for individuals over the past 36 years.

Returning as emcee for the third consecutive year will be Candy O’Terry, a popular radio broadcaster, podcaster, singer, songwriter, and speaker coach, who at last year’s Gala charmed the more than 300 business and civic leaders, community members, and friends and supporters of RTR who attended.

“Our 36th Making Lives Better Gala is drawing near and the excitement is building,” said Christopher T. White, Ed.D., president and CEO of Road to Responsibility. “Please join us on September 26th when we will share and celebrate the accomplishments RTR has made this past year and raise funds to advance our mission to provide the means, the opportunity, and the support necessary to allow individuals with disabilities to take their place as productive members of the community.”

Sponsorship opportunities starting at $1,000 are now available. For more information, please contact donations@rtrinc.org.

About Road to Responsibility, Inc.

Celebrating more than 35 years of making lives better, Road to Responsibility, Inc. (RTR) was established in 1988 with the overarching belief that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve to have full, rich, and rewarding lives in the community, and therefore works to provide the means, the opportunity, and the support necessary to allow citizens with disabilities to take their place as productive members of the community. RTR offers residential, work/employment, day habilitation and other day supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. RTR supports individuals with very diverse needs, including those with significant challenges who would otherwise go unserved if not for RTR. It succeeds where other organizations often fail, through the use of an integrated clinical behavioral approach. This model has proven successful and yielded positive results for the organization and the individuals served.

Road to Responsibility offers services to almost all the towns and communities throughout the South Shore and South Coast of Massachusetts, operates 49 residences as well as co-operative and supportive living apartments, and manages nine day-service locations that focus on education, employment, and community enrichment. Road to Responsibility’s main office is located at 1831 Ocean Street, Marshfield, MA. For more information, please visit www.roadtoresponsibility.org.
