Melinda Ghilardi Presents at Pennsylvania Bar Association’s “Women in the Profession” Annual Conference

Munley Law Personal Injury Attorneys is pleased to announce that Melinda C. Ghilardi recently presented at the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s (PBA) “Women in the Profession” (WIP) Annual Conference. She spoke on the topic of “Overcoming Obstacles, Finding Your Path and Transitioning to New Opportunities”.

Melinda Ghilardi is a trial lawyer with nearly 40 years of experience. Prior to joining Munley Law, Melinda worked in the Federal Public Defender’sOffice for the Middle District of Pennsylvania for more than three decades. Her last position there was as First Assistant Federal Public Defender. Melinda began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Lackawanna County.

Selected to the list of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for 2022-2024 for her work in plaintiffs personal  injury law, Melinda is included in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers in America. She serves on the Governor’s Judicial Advisory Commission which advises Governor Shapiro on judicial appointments in Pennsylvania. Long active in the PBA, Melinda is Chair of the House of Delegates Committee on Credentials and Admissions, a co-chair of the Federal Practice Committee and she serves on the Executive Councils of the Civil Litigation Section and the Commission on Women in the Profession. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the PBA Bar Foundation. A member of the Melvin M. Belli Society, the American Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Lackawanna Bar Association (past President), Melinda is a member of the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association. She received the Lackawanna Pro Bono, Robert W. Munley Distinguished Service Award in 2016.

A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Melinda received her undergraduate degree,magna cum laude, from the University of Scranton.
