Continental Realty Corporation (CRC), a Baltimore-based real estate investment and management company with a portfolio value exceeding $3.7 billion, has promoted Cristina Marchand to Marketing Manager of Lakeside Village, a 460,000 square foot super-regional lifestyle center in Lakeland, Florida. Marchand has served as Marketing Coordinator at the center since 2021, and brings nearly 10 years of directly-related marketing and promotional experience to her new position.
Marchand is responsible for all facets of the Lakeside Village marketing campaigns and promotional activities, with a focus on producing measurable community-centric programming that directly benefits the center’s more than 70 tenants. She spearheads and directs marketing strategy, oversees public relations and social media activities, handles tenant relations and third-party vendor relationships, and manages the center’s marketing budget.
Located at 1479 Town Center Drive just east of Tampa, Lakeside Village is anchored by Belk, CMX Lakeside Village 18 & IMAX, Books-A-Million, and is shadow-anchored by Kohl’s. The center includes more than 70 tenants offering a diverse mix of uses, including entertainment, medical/healthcare, fitness, food, and beverage as well as 46,000 square feet of office space. Additional tenants include Burger 21, Chico’s, Fish City Grill, Ideal Image, Pearle Vision, Saigon Bistro, Versona and Victoria’s Secret.
CRC acquired Lakeside Village last year and immediately revealed its intentions to embark on a $3 million-plus renovation and improvement strategy, followed by a re-branding and a new logo for the lifestyle center located in Lakeland, Florida. The company explained that the updated branding reflects the vision for “the dawn of a new era for the center, as well as ownership’s plans to continually evolve and innovate Lakeside Village in response to changing market dynamics and customer shopping patterns and preferences.”
Marchand previously held marketing and coordinator positions with CASTO, Heartland for Children, and Peace River Center for Personal Development. She attended Inter American University of Puerto Rico, Bayamon, where she studied Business, Management, and Marketing.
“Cristina consistently displays exceptional skills in marketing, community engagement and strategic planning, and her dedication and passion have translated to the continued success of Lakeside Village and its tenants,” stated Joy Myers, CRC’s Senior Property Manager – Commercial Division. “She is a great listener and fact-gatherer who values input from various Lakeside Village stakeholders, and is a consensus-builder who understands the mission of the company to support the target audiences and enhance the value of the center.”
