Jones Foster, a 100-year-old commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, Florida, continues its growth in several practice areas with the addition of four attorneys.
Danielle L. Jakeman and Dallas F. Dorosy join the firm’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group as associates, while Richard C. Vaughan and Alexander M. Parthemer join the firm’s Private Wealth, Wills, Trusts & Estates and Corporate & Tax teams. Expansion in these practice areas addresses the increasing and sustained client demand in the South Florida market and follows a similar growth pattern over the past two years in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Litigation practice group.
This year has been notable for the firm. In addition to the new hires, the firm is celebrating its Centennial year and announced in January a change in its longtime leadership. Scott G. Hawkins was elected chairman, taking on the role previously held by Larry B. Alexander for the past 18 years. Theodore S. Kypreos was elected vice chair, filling the role previously held by Mr. Hawkins. Mr. Alexander continues to head the firm’s Real Estate practice group.

Her prior experience includes product liability and warranty cases in maritime product manufacturing. Ms. Jakeman previously served as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce E. Reinhart and U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Becerra. She graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where she served as managing editor of the Florida Law Review.
Ms. Dorosy will concentrate her practice on a wide range of commercial litigation matters. She graduated summa cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law where she served as an articles editor for the Nova Law Review. During her law school studies, Ms. Dorosy gained valuable experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Kenneth Gillespie of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, Probate Division.
Mr. Vaughan focuses his practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, business planning, and transactional corporate law. He develops comprehensive estate plans for individuals and families to efficiently preserve their assets, including the use of revocable and irrevocable trusts. He handles all aspects of estate and trust administration from probate matters to asset distribution. Mr. Vaughan is a graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He went on to earn his Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Estate Planning from the Heckerling Graduate Program at the University of Miami School of Law, and holds an MBA from the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business and Economics.
Mr. Parthemer represents individuals and families in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, tax planning, business planning, and transactional corporate law. He works with clients to develop personalized estate plans for asset protection and distribution while minimizing estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax impact. He also has significant experience in preparing estate and gift tax returns, trust and estate income tax returns, as well as partnership income and individual income tax returns. In addition, Mr. Parthemer’s background in complex tax planning uniquely positions him to represent business owners and family offices in a wide range of corporate matters. A Stetson University School of Law graduate, Mr. Parthemer went on to earn his Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Taxation from the Graduate Tax Program at the University of Florida.
