VNA Health Group Announces Leadership Transition in Hospice and Palliative Care

Dr. Marianne Holler Transitions to Advisory Role After Eight Years of Exemplary Service

Dr. Audrey Radin Promoted to Chief Medical Officer, Bringing Extensive Experience and Leadership

After eight years of exemplary service at VNA Health Group (VNA), Dr. Marianne Holler—Chief Medical Officer for Hospice, Palliative Medicine, and the Parker Advanced Care Institute—will transition from her full-time role to an advisory position with the organization as she prepares for retirement. Dr. Audrey Radin, currently the Associate Chief Medical Officer, will be promoted to Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Holler’s tenure at VNA has been marked by exceptional dedication and leadership. Her passion for providing quality end-of-life care and determination to support the region’s older population led her to establish VNA’s Palliative Care Program in 2016. Under Dr. Holler’s leadership, the program delivered over 10,000 patient visits in its first five years.

“Dr. Holler epitomizes our values and is truly a physician of distinction,” said Christopher Rinn, President and CEO of VNA Health Group. “Her dedication and hard work have been a cornerstone of our Hospice and Palliative Care services. I am truly grateful that she will continue to serve as an advisor, which will benefit our patients and the communities we serve.”

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Holler continually demonstrated her commitment to the organization’s mission and patients. In recognition of her efforts, the Goals of Care Coalition of New Jersey honored her in 2022 with the David Lamotte Award for Excellence in Patient Support. She was also recognized by Community Medical Center in 2023 with the Physician of Distinction Award.

“My journey with VNA Health Group has been a remarkable and fulfilling chapter of my career,” shared Dr. Holler. “I have been surrounded by an incredible team dedicated to helping people live their best lives, and have been able to witness and contribute to the meaningful impact that hospice and palliative medicine have on our patients. I look forward to continuing this important work with my colleagues.”

With Dr. Holler transitioning to her new role, Dr. Audrey Radin will assume the position of Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Radin brings a wealth of experience and expertise, having joined Barnabas Healthcare in 1993 and expanded her role to include Palliative Care in 2010. She has been a valued member of the VNA family since 2015, following the home care and hospice partnership with Barnabas Health.

“Dr. Radin is a phenomenal physician and a leader in her field,” said Rinn. “Her extensive experience and commitment to patient care make her the ideal candidate to lead our hospice and Palliative Care services. We are thrilled to promote her to Chief Medical Officer and look forward to her continued leadership.”

Dr. Radin has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as Vice-Chair of the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Ethics Committee and participating in various hospital committees. She is professionally affiliated with the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, the New Jersey Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, and the Center to Advance Palliative Care. In 2020, she was honored as a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, the highest accolade for physician members.

“I am deeply honored to step into this new role and follow in the footsteps of Dr. Holler, whose vision, compassion, and dedication continue to inspire all of us,” said Dr. Radin. “I look forward to building upon the strong foundation laid by Dr. Holler and continuing to strive for excellence in our hospice and palliative services.”
