Skanska, a leading global construction and development firm, announces the substantial completion of the new Fuquay-Varina Middle School, located at 1201 Bowling Road in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. The state of the art, 242,546 square-foot educational facility, which opens in the fall of 2024, was constructed to provide a dynamic learning environment that supports local growth and the diverse needs and interests of educators and students.

The construction of the new Fuquay-Varina Middle School prioritizes accessibility, wellness, and innovation, to create an environment conducive to learning and collaboration. Designed by Clark Nexsen Architects, the school emphasizes the connection between natural light, fresh air, and wellness through collaborative learning spaces, outdoor classrooms, and amphitheater, which provide an alternative learning setting and an opportunity to improve mental health. Additional amenities include two gymnasiums, an auditorium, and athletic fields for soccer, football, softball and an outdoor basketball court.
