Venable LLP is pleased to announce that Sean Franzblau has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Investigations and White Collar Defense Practice Group. Mr. Franzblau, a former supervisory attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois, is a highly skilled trial attorney and investigator who represents clients in government enforcement defense, internal investigations, and other complex litigation matters.
During his nearly 11 years as a federal prosecutor, Mr. Franzblau led and supervised the investigation and prosecution of a wide variety of complex and high-profile cases spanning multiple subject-matter areas, including bribery, securities fraud, corporate embezzlement, tax fraud, cybercrime, government contract fraud, money laundering, and environmental crimes. His government experience will yield exceptional value to his clients, as he efficiently navigates complicated internal investigations, skillfully advises on responding to government and regulatory actions, and thoughtfully counsels businesses on how to mitigate risk without compromising vision.
