Goodell DeVries Appoints Peter R. Naugle To Appellate Practice

Peter R. Naugle has joined the Baltimore-based law firm Goodell DeVries as an associate in the firm’s Appellate Practice Group.

Pete represents the firm’s clients in all stages of appellate matters. Before joining Goodell DeVries, he was an Assistant Attorney General with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Criminal Appeals Division. During his years of government service, Pete represented the State in hundreds of appeals before the Appellate Court of Maryland and eleven times before the Supreme Court of Maryland. Prior to that, he served as Judicial Law Clerk to two judges of the Appellate Court of Maryland.

In 2022, he received the Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Alexander Cummings Award for Outstanding Appellate Advocacy.

Pete is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law (J.D., 2013), where he served as Co-Chair of the Moot Court Board’s Administrative Committee. He earned his undergraduate degree from Dickinson College (B.A., 2009).
