David’s multifaceted national practice focuses on advising franchisors and franchisees on launching and growing their brands. His extensive client portfolio spans various sectors, including restaurants, hotels, fitness, education, transportation, home improvements, pharmacy, and boating.
He has become a trusted advisor within the restaurant and food service industry, having guided more than ten food service franchisors in their business journeys. These businesses rely on David for his expertise in preparing franchise disclosure documents and providing strategic business insights, from selecting business names and logos to prosecuting trademark registrations and enforcing trademark rights.
David’s practice encompasses essential legal services for franchisees and franchisors, including agreement negotiation, litigation and dispute resolution, expert witness capabilities, and real estate lease negotiation for retail and special-purpose facilities.
As outside general counsel, he provides business advice and representation to various companies, including full-service restaurants, leisure sailboat and powerboat providers, private equity firms, commercial real estate owners and lessors, and pharmacy-related organizations. David has also served as an antitrust counselor to trade and professional associations, providing them with valuable insights and guidance.
