Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas LLP added two veteran attorneys to its Boca Raton office. Allison Kapner joins as a senior associate in the family law practice group and David Kim joins as a senior attorney to lead a new community association practice.
Kim has been practicing law for over 15 years in South Florida. He most recently served as general counsel for Steel Commander Corp. in Boca Raton. In 2016, David started his own boutique firm with a partner, representing community associations and other clients with issues pertaining to corporate and business, general commercial, and insurance matters.
At SSRGA, Kim will represent condominium and homeowner associations in transactional, operational, corporate and litigation matters, including construction defect claims. He will also handle general civil litigation matters.
Kim received his undergraduate degree, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and received his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law.
Allison Kapner handles a variety of family law matters including marriage dissolutions, custody disputes, paternity actions, post-dissolution modifications and enforcements, child support, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and child dependency cases. Prior to joining SSRGA, she served as a senior attorney with the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Kapner started her legal career in 2000 working as a family law attorney with her father, Lewis Kapner, a retired and respected former chief judge of the Palm Beach Circuit Court, who went into private practice after leaving the bench. They practiced together for 15 years before merging their practice with another West Palm Beach firm. Kapner then struck out on her own providing contracted legal services to family law attorneys.
Kapner earned her undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Southern California, where she was a member of its world-renowned marching band. She earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School.
“I want to welcome both Allison and David to our firm,” said Robin I. Bresky, SSRGA Boca Raton office managing partner. “Both bring considerable experience in their respective concentrations of law and will allow us to broaden our service offerings at the firm. Adding a community association practice in South Florida has been a top priority since it is a key focus for us in New York.”
