Offit Kurman congratulates shareholder and principal attorney Mohammad Ali Syed (“Mo”) on his appointment to the American Bar Association’s Commission on Immigration for the 2024-2025 term.
Mo leads the firm’s immigration law team, serving individuals, families, businesses and nonprofits across a wide variety of industries. “As a business immigration lawyer, every day I fight for the rights of my clients and their employees to live and work where they want to,” said Mo.
Mo’s clients come from several different countries and a variety of industry sectors. “As a first-generation immigrant in the U.S., my life mission is to use my expertise as a lawyer to help my clients succeed in their business and life journeys,” said Mo.
His deep-rooted passion for immigration law aligns with the Commission’s driving cause “to ensure fair treatment and full due process rights for immigrants, asylum-seekers, and refugees within the United States,” as stated on the ABA website. “I look forward to working with the Commission to make sure that our immigration system is counted among the best in the world and that our nation does not lose talent and investment to other competitors,” said Mo.
“The ABA Commission on Immigration upholds core American values, recognizing our nation as one built by the hard work of immigrant entrepreneurs, professionals, and the businesses that employ them,” said Mo. “I am honored to assist in their efforts to advocate for immigrants to this country.”
