Tom Barbera to Participate at Inaugural NAIOS Conference in Atlanta

Tom Barbera, Chief Executive Officer, Industrial Outdoor Ventures (IOV), will be a headlining speaker at the inaugural Industrial Outdoor Storage Summit—The State of the IOS Union—a by invitation event for commercial real estate and construction professionals.

The event, being hosted by the National Association of Industrial Outdoor Storage and Contractors Closers & Connections, will take place on Thursday, August 15. City Winery at Ponce City Market, 650 North Avenue NE, Atlanta.

Joining Barbera on the panel will be Derek Fish, US Head of Investments, Realterm; Zach Graham, Vice Chairman, CBRE National Partners; Matt Pfeiffer, Managing Partner, Alterra Property Group; and Larry Genet, Executive Vice President, CBRE. The panel will be moderated by Justin Horowitz, Cooper Horowitz.

In this an election year, The IOS State of the Union Is the theme of NAIOS’s inaugural summit.

“Every politician knows that it is important to look to the future and focus on opportunity, while growing from past experiences,” Barbera said. “The increasing popularity and institutionalization of the IOS space provides great optimism for the next four years, as long as we don’t lose sight of the fundamentals and market forces as we move ahead.”

The IOS State of the Union will examine the greatest accomplishments and changes that have occurred over the last four years while also forecasting the opportunities, challenges and expectations for the next four years. Along those lines, the panelists are likely to discuss the continued evolution of the product type, key market areas for IOS assets, and the increasing popularity of IOS as investments.

Barbera has been at the forefront of the evolution of the IOS sector, founding Industrial Outdoor Ventures in 2016, but being involved in IOS for more than 20 years. Since Barbera founded IOV the firm has built a portfolio of nearly $1 billion in assets under management covering 18 markets across the US. IOV’s portfolio currently consists of 78 owned and managed assets that, when aggregated offer approximately 1,000 acres of land/yard area and more than 2.3 million square feet of buildings.
