SMPL-C Appoints Kenneth Bible To Board Of Advisors

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC / ACCESSWIRE / August 14, 2024 / SMPL-C™, a leader in Cybersecurity Compliance with a specialization in the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework, is excited to announce that Kenneth “Ken” Bible, the recently retired Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the US Department of Homeland Security, has joined the company’s board of advisors. In this role, Mr. Bible will be instrumental in guiding SMPL-C™’s strategic vision and growth, particularly in the area of the innovation of cybersecurity compliance.

Mr. Bible brings unparalleled expertise in cybersecurity and is recognized as an industry visionary, especially regarding emerging threats to critical infrastructure. Before his role as the CISO of the US Department of Homeland Security, he held numerous leadership positions within the Department of Defense, including serving as the Chief Information Officer & Deputy Director, Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4), U.S. Marine Corps, Chief Technology Officer, U.S. Marine Corps, and various significant technology roles within the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Command (SPAWAR).

“I’m pleased to join the advisory board for SMPL-C as they change the dialog around compliance with cybersecurity standards such as NIST 800-171, as the Department of Defense rolls out its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). CMMC lays down a mandate for organizations to document their adherence to cybersecurity requirements prior to being eligible for a DoD contract award. While compliance does not equal security, helping businesses (particularly small businesses) understand and manage their cybersecurity posture is always a worthy goal – it’s something even large companies struggle with. SMPL-C’s approach of integrating Artificial Intelligence to guide and simplify the gap assessment, evidence collection processes, and audit readiness levels the playing field. Beyond CMMC, I see tremendous potential in this AI integration as a “force multiplier” for small companies as they build and execute ongoing cybersecurity programs” said Kenneth Bible.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ken to our board of advisors,” said Srikant Rachakonda, CEO of SMPL-C. “Ken’s extraordinary background in technology and cybersecurity, combined with our cutting-edge solutions, creates a powerful synergy. His insights and guidance will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and expand our reach in addressing the critical needs of our customers.”
