New Owner to Showcase Renderings at Taste of Northwest Festival This Sunday at Pikesville Armory
Tide Realty Capital, a local real estate investment management and advisory firm, announced today it will unveil the first stage of renovation plans for Reisterstown Road Plaza (The Plaza) at the Taste of Northwest Festival, the third annual community event to celebrate Northwest Baltimore, on Sunday, August 18, 2024, 3pm – 7pm, at the Pikesville Armory.
The local firm purchased the iconic, 750,000 square foot property in 2023, marking the first time in 20 years that The Plaza has had a local owner/operator. Having grown up in the surrounding areas with fond memories of The Plaza, the firm founders immediately understood the value of the property to the surrounding communities and intend to make improvements to The Plaza to transform it into a true “Town Center”.
“The Taste of Northwest Festival” is a great platform to showcase the first phase of The Plaza’s redevelopment as many of our stakeholders will be present,” stated Tide Realty Capital’s founder, Aaron Loeb. “We are dedicated to ensuring The Plaza is a dynamic gathering space for the community and look forward to initially sharing our plans at an event that brings together businesses, community partners, and residents of the Northwest Baltimore region. Reisterstown Road Plaza has been a cornerstone of the community since it first opened in 1962. In the decades since, it has expanded its tenant base to include a variety of retail, health, education, and government services reflecting the changing retail landscape. Recognizing the stability it provides to the region; new focused local ownership seeks to restore it as a community hub.
