Jewish Federation Of South Palm Beach County Kicks Off 2024-2025 Business & Professionals Division Events With Keynote Speaker Eugene Poverni

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s Business and Professionals (B&P) Division is proud to announce Eugene Poverni as its first B&P ICON Event keynote speaker of the 2024-2025 season. The event will bring together more than 100 like-minded business professionals for an evening of networking and community-centric professional insights. ICON will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Zinman Hall, located on the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s campus.

A new resident of Boca Raton, Poverni is the founding partner and CEO of Poverni Sheikh Group, a real estate development and credit management firm. He will share how philanthropy has played a role in his success – both personally and professionally.

“I am excited to be a part of Federation’s ICON event in Boca, especially given my recent relocation to the community,” said Poverni. “It’s been a great ride these last 13 years since getting out of law school, including professionally, personally and philanthropically. I’m excited to share with the community at large, hopefully providing a little inspiration with a fair bit of humility and laughter.”

Poverni joins an esteemed roster of B&P ICON speakers, including Cathy and Ira Baer of Baer’s Furniture; Misha Ezratti, CEO of GL Homes; Caryl M. Stern, Executive Director of the Walton Family Foundation; Larry Feldman, founder and CEO of Subway Development Corp. of Washington; Jeffrey Bleustein, former CEO of Harley-Davidson; Florine Mark, CEO of the Weight Watchers Group; and Lewis Katz (z”l), former owner of the New Jersey Nets/Devils.

“Eugene’s participation as our keynote speaker exemplifies the high-quality insights and experiences our events aim to provide,” said B&P ICON Co-Chair Corey Levin. “His success in blending business with philanthropic efforts offers invaluable lessons for all of us committed to making a difference.”

B&P ICON Co-Chair Stephanie Midler added, “South Palm Beach County has a rich tradition of community service and philanthropy. Eugene’s path resonates deeply with our values, demonstrating how successful business practices can be seamlessly integrated with a commitment to doing good.”

The event, with a couvert of $50 in advance or $60 at the door, is open to anyone in the community, with no minimum donation required to attend. Couvert includes hors d’oeuvres, open bar and complimentary valet. Kosher dietary laws will be observed. To register, please visit https://jewishboca.org/bpicon.
