As part of Continental Realty Corporation (CRC), expansion into Southern California, the company has recruited two commercial real estate veterans to join the team. The Baltimore-based real estate investment and management company hired Peggy Donica as General Manager of South Coast Collection (SoCo), the 60-store, 292,000 lifestyle center in Costa Mesa acquired by the company last year, and selected Roseanne Holmes as Leasing Associate in the organization’s Commercial Division. The professionals represent the initial hirings in CRC’s new Southern California office.

“Commercial real estate is a people-first industry built on relationships, instincts and sector knowledge and among CRC’s core values is to recruit and retain the best and brightest team member talent,” stated Kristina O’Keefe, Vice President of CRC’s Commercial Division. “The critical first step in our goal of building CRC’s presence in Southern California is to establish a strong CRC team foundation. Peggy Donica and Roseanne Holmes are strategic hires, bringing extensive real estate experience and expertise. Both are seasoned professionals who add a wealth of knowledge to the commercial team.”

Donica will primarily oversee day-to-day operations of SoCo, located at 3303 Hyland Avenue. Her responsibilities include managing all strategic development, marketing, and asset management initiates to ensure the long-term growth of the lifestyle center and its mix of retailers and restaurants. Donica will help craft and implement marketing and branding strategy designed to influence stakeholders, as well as handle tenant and customer relations.

Donica, who has more than 15 years of commercial, retail and home furnishings experience, was formerly Manager of Operations for Irvine Company, where she was responsible for day-to-day management of the Discovery Park portfolio containing nearly two million square feet of office space. She co-managed the entire portfolio of 31 buildings and had direct responsibility for 17 assets. Donica was also General Manager for furniture manufacturer Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, and Assistant Gallery Leader with Restoration Hardware.

Holmes will focus on renewing leases and managing assignment requests for CRC’s growing tenant roster across the country. She also brings more than 15 years of commercial real estate and business experience to this new role at CRC and spent the past six years as a Commercial Property consultant. Holmes previously worked for CRC in the multifamily and commercial divisions, handling a variety of leasing responsibilities.

“Peggy is extremely well-versed in multiple real estate disciplines and has the background and successful track record to elevate both the tenant and customer experience at SoCo,” O’Keefe added. “Roseanne brings tremendous familiarity of CRC’s lease processes as she begins her second stint with our company.  She has established strong rapport with the tenants in the CRC portfolio and is an invaluable asset in managing the high volume of commercial renewals and assignments across our more than 1,200 tenants.”

Headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland and founded in 1960, Continental Realty Corporation is a full-service commercial real estate and investment company focused on acquiring and operating retail and multifamily properties.
