Local Company Participates in Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Employee Farewell Event
Today, Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators hosted a butterfly release at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Egleston Hospital. As Children’s prepares for its move to the new Arthur M. Blank Hospital in September 2024, the organization is coordinating various employee and patient engagement events to celebrate and honor the Egleston location. As a part of these celebrations, Arrow Exterminators released butterflies at Egleston to recognize its dedicated employees and the many patients who have been cared for over the years.
“Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is a collaborator that is near and dear to our hearts here at Arrow Exterminators,” said Emily Thomas Kendrick, Chief Executive Officer of Arrow Exterminators. “We are so honored to be a part of the Egleston Employee Farewell event to show our appreciation for every nurse, physician, and employee who has devoted their career to providing lifesaving care. We hope our butterfly release brings joy to all involved!”
Arrow Exterminators has been an avid supporter of Children’s for over 20 years, sponsoring and volunteering in various events to give back to the Georgia community. Arrow has hosted Christmas parades, employee appreciation events, and more. Additionally, Arrow has hosted the butterfly release several times since 2017, often tied to Mother’s Day celebrations for patients and families.
“Since the beginning, the collaboration between Arrow Exterminators has positively impacted our organization and the community,” said Linda Cole, Chief Nursing Officer, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. “The butterfly release around Mother’s Day is one of our favorite events of the year, and we are excited to bring the activity to our Egleston Employee Farewell event. The butterfly release is a meaningful way to honor our employees and patients while celebrating the lasting impact of this hospital.”
