OpusClip, a Redwood City, CA-based AI-powered video repurposing startup, raised $30m in funding.
The round was led by Millennium New Horizons, with participation from Samsung Next, GTMfund, and DCM Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Opus Clip turns long videos into high-quality viral clips for users to share on TikTok, YouTube shorts, and reels to increase social media reach. Its AI adjusts clips for various aspect ratios, detecting speakers and moving objects for optimal viral presentation. It identifies the most compelling hooks, extracts highlights from different parts of a video, and rearranges them into cohesive viral short videos. Types of videos that perform well with OpusClip include: video podcasts, educational videos, commentary videos, product reviews, motivational speeches, etc.
