The Love Farms and Acella teams as well as members of the Dennis community at the Love Farms restaurant ground-breaking
Acella Construction Corporation, a leader in construction management throughout greater Boston, recently celebrated the groundbreaking of Love Farms’ new farm-to-table restaurant, on July 31 at Love Farms (607 & 621 Main Street in West Dennis).
The inspiration for the $10 million, 10,500-square-foot, ground-up farm-to-table restaurant comes from the desire of the Love Farms team to provide Cape Cod with a real locally sourced dining experience based around their own local organic farm. The project will include a parking garage under the building, exterior covered seating, a rear lawn for live music, and on-site greenhouses. Additionally, Acella will oversee the construction and development of new septic, utilities, retaining walls, and parking lot. The project is expected to be completed by May 2025.
The project design for the new Love Farms restaurant has been developed very collaboratively with the design team, ownership group, and Acella. Weekly meetings cover design elements, address potential VE options, and discuss lead time concerns and local utility challenges. In addition to Acella Construction, other partners on the Love Farms restaurant project include DJSA Architecture of Raynham (architect), Building Engineering Resources, Inc. of North Easton (engineer), Boston Showcase Company of Newton Highlands (kitchen design), and Beautiful Surroundings of Amherst, New Hampshire (interior design).
In addition to representatives from Love Farms, Acella Construction, and other development partners, many Dennis town officials attended the groundbreaking celebration, including members of the town’s Select Board and the Fire and Police Department Chiefs.
Acella team member Wayne Foley is the senior project superintendent on the project, with Patrick Carneiro as superintendent and Nick Costa as project manager.
Love Farms was founded by Dylan Leary and his family in 2020 with the vision of showing the world a better way to eat and educating people about the value of good food. Love Farms is determined to grow as much food as possible using organic and regenerative techniques. The new restaurant will further enhance the Leary family’s long-term goals for food production and community, and will offer a variety of dining options, including fast casual counter experiences, interactive fine dining, and the opportunity to host private events.
“Today was a wonderful celebration for the future of Love Farms,” said Leary. “We look forward to continued progress on this latest dream-becoming-reality, and are grateful for the support of our community, and our partnership with Acella Construction as they help us achieve this vision.”
“We’re honored to be working on such a thoughtful, impactful project that will greatly benefit the Cape community and visitors alike,” said Saul Schrader, president of Acella Construction. “We’ve assembled an incredible team, and look forward to all coming back together to celebrate the ribbon-cutting soon!”
