Interview with Dean Trevelino and Genna Keller, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of Trevelino/Keller

Dean Trevelino, Co-CEO, has served in executive positions with three of the largest global public relations firms, spanning 16 years – Ogilvy, Golin and WeberShandwick. His desire to launch his own firm in 2003 with long-time colleague, Genna Keller, was motivated by an interest in taking an entrepreneurial approach to the changing communications landscape. Dean’s background is a reflection of the agency’s practice focus, with a balance of B2B and B2C work in industries like technology, lifestyle, sports, financial services, franchising, food and beverage. His success launching products, companies and campaigns have left indelible impressions on industries, including the PR launch of the Chick-fil-a Cow Campaign, the scale and sale of Moe’s Southwest Grill, and the launch of Carvana, one of the more successful U.S. startups in the last 10 years. Dean earned an M.A. in organizational communications from The University of Alabama and a B.A. in English from Pennsylvania State University. Today he spends his spare time competing as an ultrarunner.

Genna Keller, Co-CEO, has been a PR and marketing practitioner for more than 30 years and served in executive leadership positions with global firms for 16 years before launching her own agency with long-time colleague Dean Trevelino in the early 2000s. She has a wealth of B2B and B2C and non-profit experience. Passionate about the tech industry and innovation, Keller serves in advisory roles with Tech Alpharetta, Atlanta Tech Angels, among others. Her expertise is often sought for company launch strategies, M&A communications, crisis work and campaign development. Key brand experience includes AutoTrader, The Weather Channel, Verizon Wireless and UnitedHealthcare. Genna is a proud Wake Forest University graduate and lives in Atlanta where she serves on the Buckhead Coalition.
