Palmer Trinity School Welcomes New York Times Bestselling Author James Ponti

Palmer Trinity School (PTS) recently partnered with Books & Books to welcome the bestselling author James Ponti as a guest speaker to share his journey from television writer to book author with the sixth-grade class. The discussion allowed students to explore the themes of Ponti’s popular middle-grade novels. The visit coincides with his current book tour promoting the debut of the series The Sherlock Society.

“As one of their favorite storytellers, James is a source of inspiration for our middle school students. We are thankful for the time and attention he gave them and hope opportunities like this will continue to ignite their creativity,” said Peter Tolmach, Head of Middle School.

Ponti was born in Pisa, Italy, and raised in Atlantic Beach, Florida. He is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of four children’s middle-grade book series, including City Spies. He worked as a writer and producer in television for more than twenty years, and is a two-time Edgar Award nominee, winning in 2018 for Vanished. Ponti lives with his family in Orlando, Florida.
