Karl West Joins Censinet Advisory Board

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Censinet, the leading provider of healthcare IT risk solutions, today announced that Karl West, the former Chief Information Security Officer of Information Systems at Intermountain Healthcare, has joined the Company’s Advisory Board. The Censinet Advisory Board, an active group of healthcare provider CIOs, CISOs, and industry leaders from third-party vendors, advises the Company on strategic corporate and product initiatives.

For more than 30 years, Karl West has been involved in information technology and security. West was the former CISO at Intermountain Healthcare, a Utah-based not-for-profit healthcare system with more than 41,000 caregivers and an integrated delivery network of 23 hospitals and 300 clinics. Under his guidance, the healthcare system has become a leader in innovative healthcare technology adoption and in health information security.

Before his role at Intermountain, Karl was Vice President and Managing Partner at AT&T Consulting Services. Karl is a board member of the Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (H-ISAC) and a member of the Utah Health Information Network (UHIN) Privacy and Security Board. He is also a board member of the Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS), a part of the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME), and Weber State University’s Computer Science department. He is also an active member of the HHS CSA 405(d) Task Group.
