MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC is pleased to announce the sale of 520 S. Caton Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland, a four-building industrial property totaling nearly 25,000 square feet on approximately 2.02 acres. The property was owned by the Farbman family, founders of American Lumber Corporation. The Farbman family operated their business from this location since beginning in 1934. Recently, the business was sold to Alco Doors, one of the largest manufacturers of interior and entry door systems. After the sale of the business, Alco Doors leased the property back from the Farbman family and will remain a tenant in the property under its new ownership. MacKenzie Senior Vice President/Principal Daniel Hudak and Vice President Andrew Meeder represented the Farbman family in the transaction.
“With the industrial asset class in high demand, the property’s well-maintained condition, location, and credit of the tenant created an opportunity for the owners,” stated Hudak. “We worked with them to execute the sale to a regional investment group.”
