National Taco Day and Taco Tuesday Collide on Tuesday, Oct. 1

Celebrate this Tasty Holiday with Special Offerings from Atlanta Restaurants

National Taco Day is Tuesday, October 1, and some of Atlanta’s favorite spots are rolling out the red carpet for taco enthusiasts with an array of delicious options. For fans of traditional flavors or those looking for something with a modern twist, these restaurants have the holiday covered with something for everyone to enjoy on this taco-filled holiday.
Tin Lizzy’s Cantina is the go-to spot for Taco Tuesday, and National Taco Day is no exception. Guests can enjoy a variety of $2.99 tacos, including classics like fried fish, grilled chicken, chicken con queso, kale and mushroom, basic burger, and fried chicken. Tin Lizzy’s offers drink specials like $3 PBR tall boys, $4 pints and $7 U Needa’ Rita margaritas to complement the tacos.
At Rreal Tacos, authenticity is the name of the game. Guests can savor the true taste of Mexican street food with tacos like al pastor, asada, carnitas, and barbacoa. With seven locations in metro Atlanta plus two additional openings by the end of 2024, there’s no shortage of places to get a taco fix. To make National Taco Day even more special, Rreal Tacos is launching its Halloween Holiday Bar on Oct. 1. The bar will feature a limited-time offering of the Halloween birria taco made with a blue corn tortilla along with a lineup of Halloween-themed drinks and Halloween-themed decor in the restaurants.
Step into the vibrant world of Chido & Padres, where the atmosphere is inspired by the colorful taquerias of Mexico’s Oaxaca, Puebla, and Sinaloa regions. National Taco Day coincides with Taco & Tequila Tuesdays, and Chido & Padres offers upscale tacos, tequila flights, and margaritas. Featured tacos include fajita-spiced fried chicken with smoked chipotle crema ($5); crispy Baja fish with ancho chile oil and salsa verde ($6); “Trust Me” vegetarian taco ($4); and grilled shrimp salad with escabeche cabbage slaw ($6). A refreshing selection of margaritas by the glass ($10) and pitcher ($36) and tequila flights ($25) also are offered.
Chicheria Mexican Kitchen (pictured below) at The Works on Atlanta’s Upper Westside offers a fresh, Baja-inspired take on Mexican cuisine. For National Taco Day, Chicheria serves its Taco Tuesday special all day: two tacos, rice, and beans for just $10. Known for their hand-pressed blue corn tortillas and signature fish tacos, Chicheria combines traditional coastal flavors with modern flair. The restaurant’s attention to quality ingredients and vibrant dishes makes it a must-visit spot for taco lovers looking to experience the best of Baja in Atlanta.
