Facility opened to the public Saturday, October 5

Precision Point Shooting & Training Center today announced that it opened to the public on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The 33,000-square foot, state-of-the-art firearm range and training facility, located on the site of the former Heritage Training & Shooting Center, offers a variety of services designed to provide training and resources for individuals interested in firearms education and practice. The facility serves both experienced gun owners and those new to firearms, offering courses focused on safe and responsible gun ownership.
The center features two full-sized indoor ranges with 24 private, accessible cable lanes equipped with digital target retrieval and integrated turn systems, and a tactical range designed for large calibers suitable for movement and shooting classes. Discounted rates are available to law enforcement and military personnel.
Precision Point Entrance
Precision Point offers a range of firearm training courses, including handgun, ArmaLite Rifle, shotgun, and basic and tactical first aid certifications. The facility also provides Maryland licensing courses, including Handgun Qualification License (HQL) and Maryland Wear and Carry, in addition to tactical training focused on defensive movement and shooting. Instructors certified by the Maryland State Police, the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) and the National Rifle Association (NRA) will lead the training, drawing on experience from state and local police departments and the Department of Defense.
Previously operating as Heritage Training & Shooting Center, the facility reopened to the public as Precision Point under the leadership of co-founders Dan Shapiro and Bruce Kuhlman. With a combined total of more than 40 years’ experience in the commercial real estate, security solutions and investment banking industries, the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area-based leadership team is equipped with right tools and knowledge to provide a safe, top-tier experience for shooting enthusiasts of all skill levels.
