JT Magen, a national construction firm specializing in preconstruction, construction management, design-build, and general contracting across a variety of industries, announces that seasoned construction professionals Christina Karabatsos and Jeffrey Jones have each joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as project manager.
Karabatsos and Jones will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of JT Magen’s construction projects from pre-construction to close out, including planning, valuation and execution. They will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and the internal team to ensure project success.
“Christina and Jeff bring a combined wealth of experience nearing 40 years that will greatly support JT Magen’s growth on the West Coast. During their careers, they have demonstrated a sharp understanding of client needs, collaborating with the larger project teams to develop and execute a strategy to meet set goals,” said Jonathan Holloway, West Coast Regional Director at JT Magen. “Additionally, Christina and Jeff’s strong communication competencies have allowed them to develop exceptional client, design team, consultant and subcontractor relations, contacts that will enhance JT Magen’s reach in the Los Angeles region.”
Christina Karabatsos has more than 15 years of experience managing construction for high-end commercial interiors projects and will leverage those strong relationships to grow JT Magen’s reach in the region. During her career, Karabatsos has successfully delivered projects across a variety of sectors, including finance, tech, retail, entertainment and nonprofit, for clients such as McKinsey, Red Bull, Sweetgreen, Andersen Tax, Canyon Partners and William Morris Endeavor. Prior to JT Magen, Karabatsos held project management roles at GCX and JDM Contractors. She received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Jeffrey Jones is an experienced project manager with more than two decades of experience in all facets of the construction and real estate industry. Throughout the lifespan of a project, Jones provides sound direction and advice to ensure efficient delivery of facilities and projects within the high-end residential, hospitality, retail and healthcare sectors, including several projects for Boulevard Treatment Facility, the Essence at 6041 Variel, Shoreline Gateway, Hotel Figueroa, and New Century Plaza Hotel and Residences.
Jones was most recently a project executive at McGuire Builders. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton. He holds several professional construction licenses, including a General Building Contractors “B” License, a C-9 and C-35.
JT Magen’s Los Angeles office is one of the most active general contractors in the Los Angeles construction market. Recently completed projects include Burbank Studios for MSG and Neuehouse Venice Beach, which has been recognized by numerous real estate and design awards. The team is currently serving as construction manager on the San Vicente Bungalows.
