The Chevy Chase Land Company Announces Opening Of Porsche Studio, Brooks Brothers, And Bright Horizons At The Collection

The Chevy Chase Land Company, a commercial real estate investment and asset management firm with properties across the Washington, D.C. metro area, welcomes Porsche Studio, Brooks Brothers and Bright Horizons to The Collection at Chevy Chase, a mixed-use retail destination in the Friendship Heights neighborhood, this month. Dunkin’ opened in September at 2 Wisconsin Circle, and commissioned murals by local artists now bring striking vibrancy to both The Collection and 2 Wisconsin Circle.

“Our commitment has been to create a strategic mix of retail and services to accommodate the daily ‘needs and wants’ of shoppers, diners, visitors, neighbors, and office workers in a central location,” said John Ziegenhein, CEO of The Chevy Chase Land Company. “Adding Bright Horizons here is a benefit for parents seeking childcare near to where they work and live, and we’re proud to keep Brooks Brothers on the same block as they move from just across the street. We have the excitement of the Porsche Studio adding to the lineup of incredible restaurants and retail at The Collection.”

The energized concept, owned and operated by Sonic Automotive, the owner of Porsche Bethesda, is now located next to Junction Bistro and Hunter’s Hound across from Clyde’s.

Bright Horizons, located in 11,638 square feet at 17 Wisconsin Circle, offers full-day, full-year early education and care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old at the care center with an onsite outdoor playground, secure entryways, as well as extensive health and safety policies and procedures. Bright Horizons is a welcome amenity for the neighborhood as well as office tenants located at The Collection.

“We’re so pleased to fulfill a significant need for those families who work nearby and need daily daycare, as well as those who need drop-in care,” said Shantee Bentzen, Center Director at Bright Horizons. “The children flourish with both our indoor and outdoor opportunities for play, nutritious meals, healthy interaction, and a bright and happy environment supported by the best vetted educators.”

The Collection has expanded significantly since it was first developed in 2006 and now includes a robust array of tenants, including Tiffany & Company, Amazon Fresh, Capital One Bank, Giorgetti, Capital Laser & Skincare, Clyde’s Restaurant, The Hunter’s Hound, Junction Bistro, Bar & Bakery, Joy by Seven Reasons, and Merritt Gallery, among others.  Seasonal events are ongoing at the shopping center which has become a destination for neighbors and visitors.

Committed to public art, The Chevy Chase Land Company has strategically scattered across the property curated sculptures in Farr Park, the Tiered Plaza, and Johnston Park. A new dramatic mural captures visitors’ attention — and even those driving by — as it commands a strong presence above Junction Bistro.

At 2 Wisconsin Circle, The Chevy Chase Land Company recently unveiled two grand murals, activating the second-floor outdoor plaza space with color and personality for passersby and office workers. The murals spanning floor to ceiling were designed by local muralist Cory Bernat who describes herself as “an original thinker and astute observer…a designer, creative director, content strategist, professor, curator, food historian, and former disguise technician.” These murals will add another amenity to the building, which already includes a new lobby, state-of-the-art fitness center, and office spec suites.

Dunkin’ also debuted a 400-square-foot kiosk on the street level of 2 Wisconsin Circle, greeting guests as they enter and exit the Friendship Heights Metro station. 2 Wisconsin Circle is a 13-story Class A office building at the intersection of Wisconsin and Western Avenues. With electronic ordering boards and a walk-up window for customers to pick up their orders, Dunkin’, the world’s leading baked goods and coffee chain, offers items including espresso, breakfast sandwiches, and donuts.
