Precis Engineering + Architecture, an award-winning design firm with locations in Ambler, PA, and Cary, NC, has hired Veera Ronalter, RA, LEED AP BD+C, as Director of Process Architecture and Sustainability. Ronalter’s hire brings high-level experience and leadership to the firm’s process architecture group and strengthens Precis’ commitment to environmental sustainability.

A registered architect, Ronalter has more than 26 years of experience designing life sciences projects, including laboratories and bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical device production, and animal health facilities around the globe. She has spearheaded ways for the resource-and-energy-heavy pharma industry to adopt conservation and sustainability as default basis for design and construction, and has helped major industry partners with finding ways to turn their sustainability goals into reality.
In her new role, Ronalter supports the firm’s process architecture group with the design and execution of projects and provides leadership to meet sustainability objectives of Precis and its clients. She supports projects seeking sustainability certifications and leads teams to embrace environmental responsibility, energy efficiency, sustainable alternatives, and emerging technologies to help clients meet carbon reduction and overall sustainability goals.
Ronalter holds a Master of Science in Architecture from Helsinki University of Technology in Finland and currently resides in Lower Gwynedd, PA.
