2024’s Best Baseball Cities – WalletHub Report

With the 2024 World Series approaching and tickets to see the games live costing hundreds to thousands of dollars, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on the Best Baseball Cities, to highlight where Americans can enjoy a home-run experience at the MLB, Minor League and NCAA levels at a reasonable price.

WalletHub compared over 330 U.S. cities with at least one college or professional baseball team across 31 key metrics, ranging from the performance of its teams to average ticket prices and fan engagement.

Best vs. Worst

  • MLB: The Atlanta Braves have the best performance level, which is 1.5 times better than that of The Washington Nationals, the team with the worst.
  • MiLB: The Fresno Grizzlies have the best performance level, which is 1.8 times better than that of the Visalia Rawhide, the team with the worst.
  • NCAA: Tennessee Volunteers has the best performance level, which is seven times better than that of the Rangers, the team with the worst.
  • Miami has the lowest average season ticket price (for MLB games), which is 2.7 times less expensive than in Boston, the city with the highest.
