The Arc Baltimore’s Largest Annual Fund-Raising Event Will Be Held This Friday, October 25

Art in the Round Showcases Artists with Developmental Disabilities

Art in the Round is almost here! The Arc Baltimore’s largest and most anticipated annual fund-raising event takes place this Friday, October 25, from 6:30 -10 p.m. at the Grand Lodge of Maryland (304 International Circle, Hunt Valley, MD).

An eclectic exhibit of 60 jury-selected paintings, drawings, watercolors, sculptures, and ceramics – all of which attendees can bid on as part of the fund-raising auction – Art in the Round showcases the talent and artistry of people with developmental disabilities.

Beyond the art exhibition, Art in the Round attendees can enjoy mobile bidding, hors d’oeuvres, an open bar featuring a specialty drink, and lots of opportunities to meet with the artists and discuss the inspiration behind their artwork.

Attendees can also purchase a chance to win a Tuscan Wine Experience for two couples for three nights, valued at $5,000. Each ticket for the raffle comes with a bottle of wine hand-selected by Art in the Round’s Wine Wall Sponsor, Total Wine & More. Only 100 tickets are available and can be purchased in advance or at the event.

“Art in the Round is The Arc Baltimore’s biggest annual fund-raising event, with proceeds helping to support art classes, workshops, and other mission-related programs for people with developmental disabilities,” says Kathleen McNally Durkin, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.

Durkin adds, “Art in the Round artists receive 60 percent of the winning bid for each piece of art sold during the event auction. In addition, The Arc Baltimore presents a financial award to the artist whose work is chosen to be used for next year’s Art in the Round promotional poster.”

More than 400 people are expected to attend this year’s Art in the Round. Tickets are $100 per person and $900 for a reserved table of 10. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.thearcbaltimore.org/art-in-the-round/. For more information, contact Lauren Seabolt at 410-296-2272, ext. 5220, or lseabolt@thearcbaltimore.org.
