1-800-TruckWreck, powered by Witherite Law Group, and Atlanta’s iHeart Radio station, 96.1 The Beat, are joining together to fill the tanks of Atlanta families in the company’s first “Tanksgiving” Gas Giveaway hosted in Atlanta. “Tanksgiving” will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, at the QuikTrip (QT) Store, 5795 Jimmy Carter Blvd, Norcross, GA 30071. The first 200 families will receive one $50 fuel gift card, sponsored by 1-800-TruckWreck, to help offset the many costs associated with Thanksgiving and the holiday season overall.
Representatives from 1-800-TruckWreck, along with Ferrari “Rari” Simmons of Atlanta’s 96.1 The Beat, will distribute $10,000 worth of gift cards to the first 200 drivers. The event, which is free and open to the community, will feature additional prizes and a live DJ, but attendees are encouraged to remain in their cars. Registration is not required.
In addition to food insecurity, many Americans also struggle to meet other basic needs, like transportation. While nationally gas prices have steadily fallen since the fall of 2023, higher oil costs sparked an increase earlier this year. 1-800-TruckWreck and its partners are giving Atlanta citizens a boost so they can reallocate funds to other important areas.
“There’s no better way to start the holiday season than by taking care of our neighbors. That’s what the holidays are all about,” said Amy Witherite, founder of Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck. “Partnering with our friends at The Beat to host the first gas giveaway in Atlanta is nothing short of amazing. We simply hope to bring joy and offer some relief to the community that so graciously supports us. We look forward to many more ‘Thanksgiving’ in the future.”
