We are pleased to welcome Elizabeth Hoekenga Whitmire to The Post as Newsletters Director to oversee the strategy, operations and ongoing experimentation for our diverse portfolio of newsletters. Elizabeth will lead The Post’s efforts to reach new audiences and increase subscriber engagement through useful, delightful and innovative inbox experiences.
Elizabeth joins us from Alabama Media Group, where she spent more than 14 years in a variety of roles. Most recently, she led audience growth and engagement strategies across AL.com and other brands as Vice President of Audience.
At AL.com, Elizabeth played a leading role in growing audiences across platforms and helped establish the company’s reputation as a standout among local news organizations. As they prepared to transition to an all-digital newsroom in 2023, she oversaw efforts to launch and grow new newsletters to directly connect with readers.
