Agility Robotics, a Salem, Oregon-based company developing bipedal Mobile Manipulation Robot Digit, received a strategic investment from Schaeffler Group.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. In addition to the investment, the companies have signed an agreement in which Schaeffler intends to purchase humanoid robots from Agility Robotics for use across the whole global Schaeffler plant network.
The company intends to allocate the amount to expand operations and its development efforts.

The company has offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Palo Alto, California.
