City of Doral Mayor Fraga and Other Dignitaries Will Join CityPlace Doral for a Tree Lighting Ceremony During Kiddos Magazine’s Winter Kiddos Land on Dec. 7

CityPlace Doral is lighting up the holiday season! From Nov. 28–Dec. 31, 2024, the community is invited to enjoy CityPlace Doral’s free “Light Up the Night” winter wonderland seasonal art installation.
Upon entering CityPlace Doral, guests will be welcomed with 120 three-foot illuminated blue and white snowflakes floating overhead on the boulevard and two three-foot snowflakes. Multi-colored LED lighting will be displayed on the Center’s Christmas tree and palm trees lining the outdoor shops. Shoppers can also enjoy a colorful waterfall display choreographed to everyday favorites and holiday classics with a ten-minute light show beginning at the top of every hour from 7 to 11 p.m. each night. A seven-foot topiary woven balsam cheer deer will also be displayed for Instagrammable moments.
The community is invited to celebrate the season at Winter Kiddos Land presented by Kiddos Magazine in partnership with CityPlace Doral. The magical day of festive family fun will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 2 to 7 p.m., at CityPlace Doral’s Fountain Plaza.
During the event, CityPlace Doral will host a tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. where City of Doral Mayor Christi Fraga, City of Doral dignitaries, Frosty the Snowman, Elves, Rudolph and Nutcrackers will join Santa Claus himself to bring the holiday cheer to this memorable day.
The Winter Kiddos Land Holiday event will feature first-class entertainment, an art station, character appearances, train rides, a toddler zone, Santa’s elves’ workshop, story time, letters to Santa station, inflatable decor, Christmas songs, snow, contest, prizes and much more! Featuring community partners, and more than 3,000 attendees, the Winter Kiddos Land event offers the latest in products and entertainment for children, pre-teens and parents.
Additionally, as part of its new CityPlace LIVE! series, CityPlace Doral will feature a special holiday performance by Venezuelan Gaitas on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Kings Dining & Entertainment at CityPlace Doral will host “Bowl A Turkey” from Friday, Nov. 1 through Friday, Nov. 22. For each player who bowls a turkey, a series of three consecutive strikes, Kings Dining and Entertainment will donate a turkey to the local food bank. Kings Dining & Entertainment is also offering a Package Sunday through Thursday. For $45 per person (a $75 value), guests ages 21+ can enjoy two hours of bowling and shoe rental, one cheese or pepperoni pizza, one order of wings and fries, one drink token per person (valid for beer, wine and call liquor) and unlimited soda service.
CityPlace Doral is once again partnering with Jackson Health Foundation this holiday season to donate new, unwrapped toys for pediatric patients being treated at Holtz Children’s Hospital and UHealth/Jackson Children’s Care. Now through Dec. 15, participating CityPlace Doral retailers are placing collection boxes at their locations to encourage shoppers to donate new unwrapped gifts for children of all ages, from infants to teens. A box will also be placed at CityPlace Doral’s management office. Shoppers can also support with monetary donations through a QR Code that will be placed at each of the participating retailers’ registers.
Jackson Health Foundation is the fundraising arm of Jackson Health System, Miami-Dade County’s public health system with seven hospitals, a network of UHealth Jackson Urgent Care centers, and multiple primary and specialty care centers.
To celebrate the holiday season, visitors are encouraged to take a holiday photo or snap a selfie with CityPlace Doral’s snowflakes and seven-foot topiary woven balsam cheer deer and tag @CityPlaceDoral and hashtag #NavidadatCityPlace for a chance to be featured on the Center’s social media accounts.
