Chrissy M. Thornton, Bianca Wise, and Chanelle Burt To Headline Associated Black Charities Women On The Move Event

Associated Black Charities is excited to announce the much-anticipated Women On The Move event, celebrating the power of career pivots and the success of Black women. This annual empowerment and networking event will take place on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in Baltimore, MD.

This year’s event is centered around the theme “The Power of The Shift: Women Who Have Achieved Success By Pivoting” and will feature a distinguished panel of women leaders who have made significant career shifts and achieved remarkable success. Crystal I. Berger, a Media-Tech Entrepreneur and founder of EBO, will moderate the event. Crystal’s extensive experience in media, technology, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) will guide an engaging conversation with the panel of distinguished guest speakers.

The Women On The Move panel includes Chrissy M. Thornton, President and CEO of Associated Black Charities, who has over 20 years of experience in community empowerment across sectors and transitioned from a career in probation and parole and business ownership to becoming a leading non-profit executive leader; Bianca Wise, a CEO, Founder, and Author who transitioned from being the first Black woman promoted to Lieutenant in the Baltimore County Fire Department to owning Home Helpers Home Care of NW Baltimore & Rockville; and Chanelle Burt, former engineer, who is now Senior Vice President at ACN, the first Black woman to achieve this rank, and a mentor empowering women through her W3 Network and WifeMomPreneur Circle and Academy™️ coaching program.

In addition to the panel discussion, the event will feature one-on-one mentoring opportunities, where attendees can connect with established leaders in their respective fields. The event will conclude with a networking reception, offering further opportunities to collaborate and foster meaningful connections.
