Experience an Interactive Soundscape as Dan Deacon Leads Voyages: Chapter 6 at the National Aquarium

WHAT: Experience an Interactive Soundscape as Dan Deacon Leads Voyages: Chapter 6 at the National Aquarium

The National Aquarium is excited to present the sixth installment of Voyages, an adults-only immersive event series where art and conservation science meet to create an unforgettable experience conceived and created by Baltimore artists. At Voyages: Chapter 6, guests will embark on a sonic journey crafted by Baltimore’s own Dan Deacon, internationally renowned musician and composer, who has developed an interactive soundscape inspired by the concept of ecosystem feedback loops. Featuring live performances by a collective of more than three-dozen local musicians, this groundbreaking soundscape will reverberate through the Aquarium’s galleries, inviting guests to influence the music and witness its transformation in real time. After exploring the Aquarium’s exhibits, visitors will end the night with fellow voyagers at an exclusive after-party featuring an intimate performance by Deacon. The evening will also include a curated bar menu crafted by Cane Collective, alongside offerings from local eateries including Ekiben, Arepi, Sistah’s Sweets and Crust by Mack.

Interested media are also invited to an exclusive preview of Chapter 6 during a special dress rehearsal on Wednesday, November 20, starting at 6 pm (with prior confirmation) for an insider’s look behind the scenes before the main event and possible opportunities to connect with Deacon.
