15th Annual Ed Reed Foundation “Thanksgiving Blessings” to Provide Meals to SEED School of Maryland Families and the Local Community

On Friday, November 22, 2024, SEED School of Maryland families will receive 400 Thanksgiving meals thanks to the generosity and partnership of the Ed Reed Foundation. This is part of the Ed Reed Foundation’s Thanksgiving Blessings program, which will provide holiday meals for 10,000 Baltimore community members to enjoy in their homes. The meals, complete with turkey, potatoes, yams, stuffing, muffin mix, gravy, green beans and a pumpkin pie will be assembled by volunteers and distributed to SEED families who will leave for Thanksgiving break with a dinner to feed a family of fifteen.

Hall of Famer and Ravens legend Ed Reed, knows how impactful it is to gather loved ones around your own table to enjoy the holiday together. “It’s about so much more than the food,” says Founder Ed Reed, “It’s about the experience.. it’s about families being able to get together for the holiday.” Special thanks to this years’ sponsors McCormick, Constellation, West Baltimore Renaissance Foundation, Smith Family Foundation & Forest Park Class of ’74, RNDC, Whiting Turner, IncrediTek, Geresbeck’s Food Market and First Fruits Farms.

The meals will be assembled and packaged by volunteers on campus from approximately 9:30 am to noon and distributed at 2:00 pm as students board buses home for the holiday.
