Axios HQ, an Arlington, VA-based internal comms solution provider, acquired Mixing Board, a San Francisco, CA-based community of comms, brand, and marketing leaders focused on advancing their industries.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, Axis HQ will expand its offerings.
Founded by Sean Garrett, Mixing Board is a community of communications and brand marketing leaders which offers comms, CMOs, brand strategists, social and content specialists, community builders, policy veterans and speechwriters with experience from the world’s most recognizable brands.
Led by CEO Roy Schwartz, Axios HQ provides an internal communications management platform to equip organizations with the tools, data, and best practices.
The deal closed November 27, 2024. All of Mixing Board’s investors have reinvested their proceeds into Axios HQ, including lead Bloomberg Beta; Jim Hock, Managing Director at PSP Partners; and Rebecca Reeve Henderson, a leader who’s driven communications programs for Slack, Mailchimp, Canva, and more.
