The Traffic Group’s Renata Haberkam Named Chief Marketing and Government Relations Officer

The Traffic Group, Inc.’s (TTG) Renata Haberkam has been named as the firm’s Chief Marketing and Government Relations Officer. The Traffic Group is one of the nation’s leading traffic engineering and transportation planning firms.

As the Chief Marketing and Government Relations Officer at The Traffic Group, Haberkam leads the identification and development of new business opportunities while expanding the brand’s presence across multiple market sectors, including federal contracting – a key industry sector for the engineering firm.

Her role in business development efforts within the federal sector entails building strategic relationships and positioning the firm for long-term success in government projects. Part of her responsibilities also include overseeing the preparation of proposals for the firm’s principal departments.

“There isn’t an individual better qualified to serve as The Traffic Group’s CMO and Government Relations Officer,” said Wes Guckert, PTP, President & CEO of The Traffic Group. “This is such an important role, especially since earning the Service-Disable Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) designation, meaning our firm is entitled to three percent of all Federal projects.”

Guckert continues, “Having a proven, experienced professional serve as the first point-of-contact for all clients, especially our federal government clients, is of the highest priority.”

Additionally, Haberkam’s responsibilities encompass strategic planning, marketing, and advertising strategy development. She also directs the company’s public relations program, ensuring continuous visibility and engagement with key audiences across a variety of channels.

Haberkam is active in the local chapters of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), and Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).  She is the Past President of ARTMA (Annapolis Regional Transportation Management Association).
