Roland Park Place Rises to #6 Nationally on Newsweek’s Best CCRCs List and Earns Top Maryland Nursing Home Honors

Roland Park Place (RPP), Baltimore’s first and only accredited continuing care retirement community, is proud to announce its recognition as one of America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities for 2025, climbing from its 2024 spot #11 to #6 on Newsweek’s national list. The community has also been named one of Maryland’s 25 Best Nursing Homes, earning a 5-star overall rating by U.S. News & World Report. This year, RPP also earned recognition as one of Senior Care’s Best Places to Work 2024 and achieved a Great Place to Work certification.

Roland Park Place continues to distinguish itself as a leader in services for older adults and their families, earning recognition for its personalized approach and strong sense of community. At Roland Park Place, every resident is known by name, and every voice is valued, fostering a close-knit, supportive environment.

“Being recognized as one of America’s and Maryland’s top continuing care retirement communities is an incredible honor,” said Sam Guedouar, president & CEO of Roland Park Place. “Achieving our highest national ranking yet underscores the vibrant, welcoming community we’ve built for our residents. These accolades wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated associates, whose hard work drives our vision of creating a true metropolis for senior living, where every individual feels supported and valued.”

Roland Park Place is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) offering a continuum of long-term care services, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Care, and Memory Care. CCRCs provide seamless access to higher levels of care as residents’ needs evolve, ensuring continuity and peace of mind.

Roland Park Place earned its #6 ranking on Newsweek’s America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities list through a collaboration with Statista. This ranking is based on national surveys of medical professionals, quality dimension scores, and accreditation reviews.

In addition to its CCRC ranking, Roland Park Place received top marks from U.S. News & World Report, earning a High Performing designation for both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. These ratings, which contributed to an overall 5 out of 5 score, were based on nurse staffing, patient outcomes, and the implementation of best practices known to improve health and prevent harm.

This year, Roland Park Place also received a certification from WeCare Connect, establishing the community as one of Senior Care’s Best Places to Work 2024 as well as a 2024-2025 Great Place to Work certification. These certifications recognize Roland Park Place as a top senior care facility and speak to its commitment to fostering a positive environment for both its employees and residents.
