ArtServe, a vibrant hub for artistic development and education, has announced its 2025 calendar of events. With a rich lineup of exhibitions, awards and community-driven showcases, ArtServe is committed to sharing the talents and voices of artists from diverse backgrounds and exploring a wide array of cultural and environmental themes
“Our 2025 calendar has something for everyone—whether you’re a lover of art, an environmental champion, or someone who enjoys supporting local talent,” said ArtServe CEO Jason Hughes. “This year’s events are sure to spark meaningful conversations, inspire creativity and help strengthen the connections that make our community so special.”
Here’s a preview of the 2025 season:
A groundbreaking exhibition celebrating African American art, Afrikin Collaboration, will run from January 24 through March 28, 2025. The exhibit features powerful and thought-provoking works by local and national artists and explores the complex narrative of African American culture, identity and history, providing a platform for artists to share their voices and stories. The public is invited to a free opening reception on January 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
ArtServe will host its 3rd Annual Impact Awards Gala on April 25, 2025, at 6 p.m., celebrating individuals and organizations that are making a significant impact in the arts and the community. This celebratory event recognizes outstanding achievements in creativity, leadership and philanthropy. Tickets will be available for purchase at artserve.org.
The environmental program and exhibition WILD: Invasive Species of South Florida will be open to the public, April 26 through June 20, 2025, to raise awareness about the impact of invasive species on Florida’s delicate ecosystems. The exhibition combines art, education, and activism to address the environmental challenges faced by South Florida and offer solutions for preservation and conservation. ArtServe will host a free opening reception on May 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The fashion-forward exhibition, Walk the Runway: Showcasing Local Fashion Designers, will highlight the creativity and craftsmanship of South Florida’s local fashion designers. The exhibition will run from July 18 through September 19, 2025, with a focus on homegrown clothing and accessories. “Walk the Runway” celebrates the diverse fashion landscape of the region and its influence on global trends. A free public reception will take place on July 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The ArtServe Member’s Show: Florida Opulence will explore the aesthetics of Florida through the lens of the Gilded Age of America from October 10 through January 2, 2026. This unique member’s exhibition delves into the beauty, wealth and historical significance of Florida’s past, bringing together a collection of stunning works that capture the essence of the state’s opulent history. The public is invited to a free opening reception on October 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
ArtServe is located at 1350 East Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Daily admission is free.
