Farm-focused businesses will pitch live for a chance to win $5,000 cash prize
WHO/WHAT: Cureate, in partnership with the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and Baltimore Community Lending (BCL), will celebrate the end of the 10-week Cureate Courses program supporting local Maryland farming businesses. The showcase on January 7th will take place during and in conjunction with the 2025 Maryland’s Best Expo in the Akerson South room at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.
The event will not only celebrate the completion of this farming curriculum but will also provide a platform for the participants to pitch their businesses before judges and event attendees to win a grand prize of $5,000 to go toward investing in the growth goals they defined as part of the curriculum.
Participants include:
A panel of judges will choose one grand prize winner at the event, and an additional prize will be awarded to the business with the most community votes. Interested parties and the public are invited to attend and encouraged to vote.
