Akerman Partner Ryan Williams Joins International Association of Defense Counsel

The International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) has announced that Ryan C. Williams, a partner at Akerman LLP in Chicago, Illinois, has accepted an invitation to join the IADC, the preeminent invitation-only global legal organization for attorneys who represent corporate and insurance interests.

“I am truly honored to be welcomed into this prestigious group of skilled defense attorneys,” Mr. Williams said. “Like those before us, I have the benefit of standing on the shoulders of giants. I look forward to working alongside and learning from other talented corporate defense lawyers.”

Mr. Williams focuses his practice on commercial litigation and trial work involving business disputes, LLC membership and partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty defense, defamation defense, and commercial real estate matters.

Mr. Williams is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Chicago Inn of Court. He earned his J.D. (summa cum laude) from the University of Illinois at Chicago John Marshall Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
