ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CP Group, the largest private owner of commercial office space in Atlanta, announced today that global law firm Eversheds Sutherland (US), the US portion of global law giant Eversheds Sutherland, has signed a lease for over 94,000 square feet of office space at Bank of America Plaza in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.
Eversheds Sutherland, a top global law practice serving some of the world’s largest multinational corporations, will relocate its Atlanta office to Bank of America Plaza. John Shlesinger of CBRE represented the tenant, while Jeff Keppen and Nicole Goldsmith of CBRE — the building’s exclusive leasing agents — represented the landlord.

With the Eversheds Sutherland deal, total leasing activity at the skyscraper over the past six months reaches 170,000 square feet, including four new tenants, one renewal, and two expansions.

CP Group acquired Bank of America Plaza in 2022 in conjunction with funds managed by HPS Investments Partners, LLC, and began a $50 million capital improvements program in 2023. CP Group engaged global architecture firm Gensler and Holder Construction to completely redesign the 20,000-square-foot lobby, paying homage to the building’s original Art Deco revival style with a contemporary appeal.
Renovations included the addition of an upscale barista café coined Spire, which offers coffee, light bites, and spirits — serving as a buzzing morning, midday, and happy hour spot for both tenants and the community. Additionally, a versatile huddle-and-focus workspace offers occupants a change of scenery and a completely revitalized arrival experience.
The capital improvements program also included 100,000 square feet of move-in-ready spec suites at the tower, comprising 13 new suites of varying sizes and configurations for businesses of all scales.
CP Group is finalizing plans to develop a high-end restaurant on site and renovate the renowned 55th (top) floor.
Other amenities at Bank of America Plaza include a renovated 10,000-square-foot conference center space with event and breakout rooms and advanced technology, a 17,000-square-foot fitness club, a food hall, an onsite bank branch, and a salon.
