Holy Cross Health has named Plantation resident Adrienne Wolfson as Director of the Year, Pompano Beach resident Nancy Snell as Colleague of the Year and Boca Raton resident Carol Katzell as Leader of the Year for 2024.

Director of the Year: Adrienne Wolfson, MSN, BHA, RN, CCRN
Adrienne Wolfson, MSN, BHA, RN, CCRN, Executive Director Nursing Administration, has been named Director of the Year. The Plantation resident has been devoted to the Holy Cross Health ministry for 35 years. As a leader, Wolfson is known for her integrity, compassion and ability to inspire those around her. She leads by example, fostering a culture of respect, while always putting the needs of the team and the mission first. Her dedication to personal and professional development ensures that those under her leadership meet and/or exceed their potential. In 2024, under her leadership, Holy Cross Health earned accreditation for the Nurse Residency Program from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP).
Colleague of the Year: Nancy Snell
During her nearly two decades of working in patient access services at Holy Cross Health, Pompano Beach resident Nancy Snell has been a beacon of compassion, warmth and professionalism. Her radiant smile and friendly demeanor not only provide patients and their families with reassurance during difficult times, she also lights up the hallways, making it a wonderful workplace for her co-workers. The 2024 Colleague of the Year is committed to excellence and empathy. Snell has superior customer service skills, taking the time to provide patients with personalized care and listen to their needs.
Leader of the Year: Carol Katzell, RN
Boca Raton resident Carol Katzell, BSN, RN was tapped Leader of the Year. As a respected Patient Safety Officer, her goal is to achieve Zero Harm to Holy Cross Health’s patients, colleagues and community. Over the last 21 years, Katzell has positively contributed to Holy Cross Health by implementing innovative ways to improve patient safety. She is a fearless, loyal leader who doesn’t hesitate to speak up in high-stakes meetings and initiate challenging conversations. Her professionalism, passion, dedication, excellence and knowledge are an inspiration to those around her.
